Head of School Welcome
Text
Welcome to Christ Church Church of England Primary School. It is a privilege to serve as Head of School of this historic community school in Eccles, Salford.
Founded in 1860, Christ Church CE Primary is the oldest school in Salford and has been at the heart of Patricroft for over 160 years. Our long tradition is built on partnership, trust and shared accountability, ensuring every child is supported and challenged to thrive.
Our mantra, “Love, Learn, Discover”,
sits at the centre of everything we do. We believe that when children feel nurtured and valued, they develop a lifelong love of learning and the confidence to achieve. We are proud of our school’s achievements, including the Nurture UK National Award (2019), which recognises our strong commitment to wellbeing.
Our five Christian values — Compassion, Respect, Care, Love and Forgiveness — shape our culture and guide the way we learn, play and grow together. Children are encouraged to work hard, take responsibility, persevere and believe in themselves. Our wider ethos, developed collaboratively with pupils, staff and families, reflects the values of Excellence, Respect, Challenge and Self‑Belief.
We are committed to developing the whole child academically, physically, emotionally and socially. Our curriculum is rich, ambitious and relevant to life in the 21st century, complemented by memorable experiences including trips, residentials and visits from inspiring speakers. We want our pupils to be curious, knowledgeable and globally aware.
Strong partnerships with families are vital to our success. We work closely with parents and carers through regular communication, our website and the ReachMoreParents platform, ensuring you feel involved and informed throughout your child’s journey with us.
Our dedicated staff team is passionate about children’s learning and wellbeing. We believe every child can succeed, and our strong inclusion team provides tailored support for pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEND.
I hope this website gives you a helpful insight into life at Christ Church CE Primary. It can only offer a glimpse, and I would be delighted to welcome you into school to see our community in action.
